So, in the kitchen and dining area at least, no more Chinaman's hats!
They look great when turned on.... I tried to get a shot of them all lit up, but they were bamboozling my camera's light meter and I'm far too lazy to fiddle around with the manual settings. You'll just have to take my word for it. ;o)
It's all coming together. We also picked up some outdoor feature lights, which we'll get installed where we had the builder put junction boxes. Bike Boy assembled our shed yesterday, and he's put up some wine glass racks under our overhead kitchen cupboards. Monday, our new couch for the retreat arrives, and we should have the pendant light for that room in the next couple of weeks too.
That only leaves: feature wall lights for the ensuite, some light shades for the laundry and mud room, trapeze lighting between the bulkheads in the lounge, shelves for the showers, fitting-out of all five wardrobes, decking for the front porch and al fresco room, plus a heap of paving and landscaping. And a lot of new furniture.
Pfft. Not much at all.... We should be all done in about a year or two.

Lights look great Kek. i was at Bunnings today getting my Stone sealer for the feature tiles.....I'm over having Baths. Actually wished I had done them straight away now. Anyway, I had a look at the lights. Yours look fantastic, really nice. What a difference they make from the China Men's Hats! Well done :-)
At least sealing the stones is easy - although you do need to do a few coats.
I love your shag pile - my youngest son wanted it in his room. LOL. Maybe I'll get a rug for the family room.
I've done two coats for the feature tiles and also sealed the ensuite shower tiles and grout. I think i might do another coat on the feature tiles today.
The shag is fantastic. We love it. Master 4yo fell asleep on it last night. A rug would be lovely.
Kek I was just wondering what colour you painted the walls of your place as I love the colour. I am trying to find a similar colour in Solver paints for my unit....

btw I love the pebble feature wall in the shower... Your my inspiration for looking at something similar, but you mentioned that you sealed yours. Is that normal to do that yourself?
Kristy, the paint is Wattyl ID and the main wall colour is Castilian. It needs a lighter contrast for trims and doors, or it would be too gloomy - we used Pearly Gates.
Thanks Kek, I need to choose something from the Solver paint range, but hopefully the paint guys can point me in the right direction if I take that in...:)
Any decent paint shop should be able to mix any paint to decent colour match if you have the name and brand of the one you want.
I even had the guys at Bunnings mix me a paint to match a Laminex colour once - it's all on their computer. :o)
